On Jan 8, 2021, AIPPI China Group and IP Publishing House jointly held a seminar on trademark strategy and sustainable development of the business environment.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Richard Li, Secretary General of AIPPI China Group. Mr. Mingang Zhu, Chairman of the Intellectual Property Publishing House, and Mr. Chuanhong Long Chuanhong, Vice President of AIPPI China Group delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. In order to meet the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, the meeting was changed to online mode, and the number of online hits reached 19,000.
The seminar invited speakers from the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Beijing High People's Court, Renmin University of China and some enterprises. The content of the seminar was divided into two parts: the first part analyzed the understanding and application of Article 10(7) and (8) of the Trademark Law of China, and called on the right holders to reduce the waste of social public resources and improve the success of trademark registration rate. The second part discussed the issues of applying for trademarks in all classes from the perspectives of domestic and foreign enterprises and trademark authorities. Distinguished guests explained their views, clarified their ideas, and provided professional suggestions for the participants, especially the trademark practitioners from the agencies.
The seminar specially arranged the awarding ceremony. Mr. Yakai Shi and Ms. Chunmei Mi, co-chairs of the Trademark Standing Committee of AIPPI China Group, issued letters of appointment to some members of the Committee who presented at the seminar.
