On September 12, 2022, the "2022 China Fashion IP Conference", hosted by China Trademark Association and China Fashion Association and undertaken by the China Fashion Intellectual Property Protection Center, was held in Beijing. Mr. Yakai Shi, the founding partner of Dakun IP and the co-chair of the Trademark Committee of the AIPPI China, was invited to attend the conference and moderate the session on the topic of international collaboration in intellectual property.
The theme of this conference is "International Collaboration and Protection in Fashion Intellectual Property". Representatives from fashion industry and intellectual property related institutions in Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and other countries together with domestic legal experts and business elites exchanged information on international collaboration of IP and shared classic cases of IP protection. They also discussed about significance of the ecological chain of international fashion intellectual property promoting high-quality development and innovation of the fashion industry globally.
In addition to the topics of common development and cooperation in international intellectual property protection, Mr. Chunxiang Shen, member of the Strategic Advisory Committee of China Fashion Intellectual Property Protection Center and Director of the Academic Committee of the Agency Branch of China Trademark Association announced the release of "2022 Fashion IP Protection Annual Report”. The report comprehensively and accurately analyzes the current situation and trend of intellectual property protection in China's fashion industry in 2022, providing intellectual support for more original designers, and also pointing out the direction for China's intellectual property protection in fashion industry.
A number of distinguished officers and guests attended the conference, including Mr. Xuejun Cao, first-level inspector of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Mr. Dapeng Chen, Vice-President of China National Textile and Apparel Council and President of China National Garment Association, Mr. Fu Ma, President of China Trademark Association, Mr. Shangke Cui, Director of the IP Protection Department and first-level Researcher of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Mr. Jian Yang, Executive Chairman of China Fashion Designers Association and so on.
The China Fashion IP Conference is held every year and has been successfully held for four times. Through industry associations and the government, the conference gathers famous intellectuals in the intellectual property field and provides high-quality exchange and discussion opportunities for innovative entities.
